Youth training initiative

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Uganda in collaboration with the Kazire Health Products Limited through an Open Innovation Challenge Fund Call for the Youth4Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship Facility is going to conduct a one-year training on Banana Value Chain Management with special focus on Juice Processing. Known for its desire to improve the wellbeing of the people, Kazire Health Products found it pertinent to participate directly in activities aimed at improving the livelihoods of the people.

The current project aims at equipping 50 youth selected randomly from Ntungamo district of southwestern Uganda. The comprehensive one-year training will expose the participants to several areas of agriculture and other farm businesses particularly on banana value chain management. The objective of the training, which is FREE OF ALL COSTS, is to create in Uganda, generations of committed young practical farmers who will act as a catalyst for an agricultural revolution in their communities.
